About Magnolia Moon

Magnolia Moon was created to offer a welcoming space where individuals can take time for themselves and experience Reiki in a way that feels comfortable and supportive. My approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and the understanding that each person brings their own experiences, needs, and goals to a session.

As a Reiki practitioner with a background in behavioral health, I value the importance of meeting people where they are. I offer personalized Reiki sessions that support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being, while recognizing that Reiki is a complementary practice and not a replacement for medical or mental health care.

My Journey to Reiki

My journey to Reiki began during my own recovery from chronic illness. That experience gave me a deeper appreciation for the importance of rest, self-care, and finding ways to support my well-being while navigating the demands of everyday life. Through my own experience with Reiki, I found that it supported relaxation and helped me better manage stress. This sparked a deeper interest in the practice and eventually led me to pursue formal training.

With a background in behavioral health, I have spent much of my professional life supporting individuals through challenging circumstances. Over time, I became increasingly interested in the ways people can incorporate complementary wellness practices into their lives alongside traditional care.

I created Magnolia Moon to share Reiki with others and provide an opportunity to step away from daily responsibilities, reconnect with themselves, and make space for their own well-being.

My Approach

Every Reiki session at Magnolia Moon is guided by your individual needs, preferences, and goals. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, communicating your preferences, and participating in your session at your own pace.

My approach is informed by my background in behavioral health and emphasizes client choice, clear communication, and respect for personal boundaries. Whether you are new to Reiki or have received sessions before, I want you to feel informed and comfortable throughout your experience.

Professional Background & Reiki Training

My professional background is in behavioral health, where I have completed extensive training in substance use disorder treatment, trauma-informed care, Mental Health First Aid, and related areas of care. As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, I have worked with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges and life circumstances. This experience has given me a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of human experience and the importance of approaching each person with respect, compassion, and understanding.

I have completed my Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master training, building upon my foundational Reiki I & II education. This advanced training has expanded my understanding of Reiki, introduced additional techniques, and opened new opportunities for personal growth and professional development.

I bring my behavioral health experience and Reiki education together through a client-centered approach that values individual choice, personal boundaries, and the role complementary wellness practices can play alongside traditional medical and mental health care.

Continuing Education & Future Goals

Completing my Reiki Master training marks an exciting new chapter in both my personal journey and the continued development of Magnolia Moon. Through advanced training, I have gained new skills, explored additional Reiki techniques, and developed a growing vision for how I would like to share this practice with others.

I am currently expanding my education through Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki training, an approach that emphasizes compassion, respect, and allowing animals to choose how they participate in a Reiki experience. This philosophy aligns closely with my belief in honoring individual needs, personal boundaries, and the importance of creating an environment where participation is always a choice.

My continuing education also includes plans for additional mentorship and practical experience through a Reiki internship, providing opportunities to further develop my skills and deepen my understanding of the practice.

Looking ahead, I have many ideas for the continued growth of Magnolia Moon, including expanding Reiki offerings, developing opportunities for community connection, and eventually incorporating animal Reiki services. I am excited to explore these possibilities while remaining thoughtful about how each new offering is developed and introduced.

My vision is for Magnolia Moon to continue growing as a welcoming, professional wellness practice grounded in education, compassion, and respect for the unique experiences of individuals and their animal companions.
